Pears

Picking Pears in the Afternoon with a tractor.  I have done 7 straight days now.  I was struggling with days proceedings a few days ago but after a break for frisbee in the city I feel better.  My body is handling it and my mind is handling it as well.  But I did just finish for today, and once one has finished you feel a light-hearted sense of accomplishment.  If my hands could write for this blog in the midst of a four hour shift it might be a different story.  My sister recently asked  me how many pears a day I picked, here are my most recent calculations.  70 Pears a Bag.  1 Bag every 5 minutes.  12 Bags Every Hour.  5 Hours per day. 60 * 70 = 4200  Pears each day.  May need to check my work on that one but I deserve partial credit at least. Right?! I had the equation memorized I mean Its written right there, there is just a slight disconnect but it was correct at that point, don’t you see that 5?  Come on Mrs. Mathteacherface.

4200 pears a day is more than I will probably ever eat.  Its more than anyone would even consider eating, nobody sits down and thinks about consuming 4200 pears.  The leaves were wet today due the occasional yet welcome rainstorm the day before, unfortunately I forgot my Pearasol. (AHAHa dammit).  Speaking of yesterday I took a train into Perth meeting up with Kate(from camp) her boyfriend Simon, and Casey(went to camp three years ago).  I played Ultimate with them in the Perth Social league.  Good fun, windy, we won. Until that next point in the future.
