Yarragon

Far  Continent Number 3

Living in small town called Yarragon now with my friend Beaudy.  Taking the train out of Melbourne 2 days ago only cost me 10 dollars.  It’s certainly not as fast paced as the city but I’ve been helping Beau with some construction jobs which is a rewarding feeling.  Not as fast paced is an understatement I suppose. This town has 300 people, 3 tennis courts, and enough cows to launch an attack on the neighboring town Warragul.

Beaudys house has no neighbors, just cows.  I’m sleeping on a swag (this weird Australian bed mat) in a laundry room.  Speaking of sleep, Jet Lag never really hit me on this trip I think my flights were so long and random that all of the jet lag canceled out somehow.

It smells like a mix between pines, mulch, and honey out here. I just went for a 5k run in a temperate rain forest up in the hills near Yarragon.  The most noticeable thing about the rain forest in my opinion is the sound.  The medley of strange noises.

Giant Tree In Rainforest

P.S. The birds here are wacky.  They look like care-bears.
